Leather Backup On Lift Piston

This leather backup ring is straight out of the box. It's supposed to be tight, correct? Don't suppose there are any tricks to shrinking it?

(quoted from post at 10:10:18 05/24/19) Nope, not gonna work, talk to your supplier!

Fortunately I also got the hydraulic gasket set that came with another one. It appears to be sized correctly. Looking good to be mowing on a long weekend. Ha

Get the correct rubber one for it life will be good.. Not a fan of the leather seen a few fail its to EZ to fudge up.... The rubber one is plug and play :)))

Agreed, Hobo. No reason to mess with the leather washer these days.

Preformed molded washers are available individually for around $6.00 from CNH. Hint: Have the parts guy order it on a stock order rather than overnight to avoid shipping. You will still get it in a few days.

Yes, we all know that one can buy a box of them from McMaster Carr and others for $15-$20 with shipping, but it will still take several days to get them and how many are you planning to use?
