Best starter

What would everyone consider the best starter for a 8n. Tired of having to go get the hammer every time I need to start it.

The best one would be an original ford one that was rebuilt by a good mom and pop starter repair shop.
Must ask what is it doing or not doing, to require a hammer?

My old 6v starter was dragging and turning the engine over super slow, so I bought a new one from this site and it rolls over much faster than the original.

I have to lightly tap on the side of it to get it to move. About 3 years ago I put a rebulid kit in it and its served me well since then. Im not sure if it is worn out again but getting those brushes in place was a real pain.
It has a 12v battery on it. So should I assume its a 12v starter? How can I tell?
Thanks

Thanks Tony292. I'll remember that as a option.

The OEM starters are by far the best.

Look for a GOOD rebuilder and have yours rebuilt.
