Since my 2N overhaul (used engine I acquired) my cold Idle oil pressure runs 80 PSI or more. I would wait until engine warms up then go to work with it. I decided it was time to troubleshoot and determine if I could open restriction. I eventually determined I could run engine with plug, spring and plunger completely out with no oil spewing from front of engine. A swivel mirror and light indicates nothing jammed in hole. I guess I am SOL as there is no easy way to get at vertical channel or gallery that goes toward pump or main oil galley. I flushed the gallery and engine good before I overhauled but obviously did not get this. Who would of thought and how can it be so plugged as to hold back 80 PSI? Mt timing gears probably not getting lubed good either . Any suggestions welcome. Maybe pulling timing cover and trying to work wire into vertical part of hole? I see a risk of knocking something loose that can get in oil. Thanks
