Decent 39 N for sale on craigslist

That's a little sweetheart.
Wouldn't mind having one like it.
The alternator kinda ruins it though.
As much as I prefer 12V I would probably
convert it back to 6.
Leave it just as it is paint wise.
Just use it to putt around on.
Go to the gas station to get a Coca
Cola, etc.

Certainly a nice speciman of an old 9N. But, I don't believe it is a 1939. Seriel number says 1940.
No grease fittings on front of front axle. Fenders are single rib. Others may have better eyesight or
details.
 
wrong grille, wrong gas tank, "open" fender mounts,neutral safety switch starter with key on steering column, later manifold, Bug-eye Model A Ford lights!

It has the wrong grille and doesn't have a snap in battery cover either.

That being said it has a nice patina and looks cool. The shiny alternator definitely ruins the looks of that patina.

This is my favorite line: "And the headlights do not work but have power going to them". No sh1t Sherlock, I guess it didn't cross his mind that 6V headlights don't like 12 volts.
