Hello. My husband and I bought a jubilee about 6 years ago. At the time, it was running fine other than needing a jump every once in a while. Over the years, it needed miscellaneous work from a mechanic, and ran fine most of the time. Almost 2 years ago, it died while mowing and it's been sitting ever since. We can't get it to a mechanic (no trailer, and we live in the boonies), but I've had some friends who supposedly knew their stuff out to try to fix it. When it first died, the engine would turn over but never catch (forgive my lack of proper terminology; I know absolutely nothing about any kind of automobiles). One friend thought it was fuel not getting through and suggested a new carburetor, which we bought, and said friend never returned. Another friend has been out and felt carb was not the issue, but that it simply needed a new coil. He put in a new coil, but still, motor/engine wouldn't catch. He adjusted the old carb and if holding the throttle, he was able to get the engine to catch, but as soon as he let up on the throttle, it died. Somehow, no one had ever checked the oils until then, when it was discovered that, while the tractor was sitting for that 1.5 years, it had flooded. We didn't realize the water had gotten up as high as the tractor, but all oil reservoirs were filled with mostly water, some oil. Friend advised that we drain all oils and replace them (from 3 different drain plugs; he showed me where to drain). We did that and that's where I am now, but I can't figure out what all 3 drain plugs are for. Obviously there's the motor oil and hydraulic/transmission oil, but what is the plug in between them? I assume the engine oil is up front and hydraulic in the rear; I find one reference to a gear fluid, but can't be sure that's what it is. When drained, that fluid was milky white, by the way. We are going to change out the carburetor as well, since friend was having trouble getting it adjusted properly. I'm hoping someone has some advice for us. We would be forever grateful to get this thing going again! Thanks in advance, Sarah
