Hi all, I recently took on a project of tearing down and inspecting a 9n governor. This is my first time dealing with a Ford so bear with me. I have it torn down and have new parts coming that were worn. I have a question about a part that was missing when I tore it apart. It is the washer directly behind the drive gear, it was non-existent when I tore it down. The manual, TO4 I believe, does not show it in the exploded view. However, I found an exploded view on external_link's website that has it shown and lists it as part #357319. Should this washer be installed? I bought one just in case. The back of the gear doesn't show signs of too much wear, I'd assume that without the washer the gear would tend to rub against the steel cap.
