What is the serial number of th first block to have a Welch (frost) plug to rear of oil filter on a 9N?

Oneofeach,The 1939 Serial number was from 9N1 - 9N10275,only the early 9Ns had no welsh plugs.I'm not sure of the serial number that the plugs were added but maybe after 700 or so,maybe someone else knows for sure.

Even early '39 had welch plugs. They were at the rear of the block.

The welch plug behind the oil filter was added in 1940. I don't know the serial number.

my serial number is 10867 so I am thinking it was added march or April 1940

Does your 10867 motor have the plug behind the filter? How about one below and in front of filter?
