What year serial doesn't match

OK here is the deal. Friend has a 8N he rolled it over backwards, he is OK but asked me to fix it. New radiator, tie rod link, sediment bowl and new axle and pto seals. As with most old tractors it has led a rough life. The serial number on the block is 462659 which id's it to a 1952, except it has a front mounted distributor! The oil fill and cap is the later being moved rearward. Has proofmeter and later model steering spindle. So I thought in 1950 the dist. was moved to a side from the front. Anyone have any thoughts? Original serial number stamping.

Side dizzy conversion back to front dizzy. Why who knows. Here's my '47 front dizzy with side dizzy conversion. Actually More trouble
than it's worth.

I have a 1952 8N that I compared it to. One the tractor in question the dist and mount look newer. The part on the front of the block looks like it has always been there. Someone did add an alternator to the right side so maybe they had to convert back to make the alternator fit, as it wouldn't with a side dist? But what is puzzeling is the ignition wires are in the metal tube like earlier models. Why go through that trouble.
Can a front mount dist be easily converted to a side dist?

I'm thinking it was converted from side to front using a donor tractor maybe due to interference with alternator. New alternator not installed properly due to no adjustment bracket.
