Kitchen sink cold water line is frozen solid - second time in 28 years. I have been pumping hot air into the floor joists for the last 12+ hours to no avail. Heat wave starts Saturday...

I push some snow also. Not enough to break out the front plow so did it with the 8n and back blade. Yesterday -7 with wind chills of -24 but still not as bad as the middle of the country. Burning a lot
more wood and not staying outside too long.

Looks good Gary! When are you coming to do mine?
Heat wave here today, 15 degrees. First time above zero in a while.
Wind has died down too, so hopefully no more of that -40 stuff.

I was moving snow Wednesday. High temp never reached zero.
I had the lower hose/block heater plugged in for about 6 hours
before I tried starting it. It started, but didn't really feel warm to
me. Getting the hydraulics to work was a whole 'nother story!
Extremely slow even after an hour or two of use.
At least I was protected from the wind. I should have gotten a
new picture of it with the new weights installed but it was to cold!

It would be a shame to have a nice set up like that and never get to use it...

Cab tractors with AC are getting popular around here...

Glad to hear that Hermie has another notch in his belt!

I did the barnyard this morning. Made it to 28* today. Thursday morning it was -37*. Tuesday night the windchill was -59*. Just a wee bit too cold to get out except to do the absolute musts.

This is one year I'm glad I have a loader tractor... I've only used the '50 a couple times to clean up after stockpiling the heavily drifted snow. The '50 could have cleared it (I've done it before!), but it would have taken twice as long.

Ya gota stop takn' pix from the upstairs window!! Looks really nice, but makes me dizzy....(or, Dizzier)!!!
I think that is the most snow, I've seen you have, since I've known you! (at least, in such short time)!!!

Yeah, this is definitely one of the snowiest winters we've had in the 17 years we've been here!

Here's a shot looking the other way:

That's before I pushed all that over to the big pile (got tired of having to shovel the tunnel out twice a day from drifting!).

Here in SE Wisconsin we got over a foot on Monday, followed by way below zero on Tuesday night through Thursday (low was -30°F), and today we're at 46°F and expecting rain. Strange weather this winter.

It appears that the board doesn't like degree symbols. It kept telling me there was something wrong until I took them out. I didn't realize the posts with degree symbols were still going through. Learn something new every day.

How are you trying to do it? I switched to classic view and used HTML to do it.

This is the HTML:

The current temperature here is 53°

And it renders like this:

The current temperature here is 53°

We had a couple of snow flakes come down this morning, does that mean I should put chains on? currently 36.5 degrees.

Nah, you want to wait until the snow's a foot deep and it's -20 out before you put them on.
Outside with no wind protection is the preferred place to install them once you dig them out from under the snow and ice. ;)

(quoted from post at 16:48:33 02/04/19) Snowing hard right now in Pendleton, storm headed your way!
