Not an N so caveat lector.
Just another ad that leaves you with more questions about the seller than the tractor he's selling.
Granted, it's an uncommon tractor with LPTO but parts for these 144 diesels are Very hard to get - if at all.
I'm thinking with a bad rod bearing and possible transmission problems it might be worth the price of the tires plus a little extra for the nice tin. The "good stuff" paint probably doesn't add much value :)
Meanwhile, I wish him well and hope he can get at least 1/4 of his asking price.
And I do wonder WTH he's thinking...

"The engine has a knock. I am sure it is [b:22cd677d1b]just [/b:22cd677d1b]a main rod bearing."

In other words, don't worry about it - it's an easy fix....

It would be a shame to have to split it for repairs and possibly ruin that "High quality spray can tractor enamel" paint job!

HD,
I would be concerned about those main
rods.
The main bearings ok and the rod bearings
no big deal but the main rod bearings
might be a little hard to come by.

its a shame to see somebody go to all that trouble to paint a tractor and then use spray cans, it will be pink in 2 years the diesel is a deal breaker to me,

I didnt catch the "...main rod bearings.", I am still trying to figure out why the lights not working makes it hard to shift!

Sooo- it has electrical issues, the trans needs work and the engine will have to be torn down and rebuilt, AND he's asking double what a fully restored one would bring?

Plus it's an old picture,I'm pretty sure there's snow North West of Minneapolis this time of year so the paint is already faded!

[b:726729781c]"With a little TLC you can have the envy of the county."[/b:726729781c]

only until they find out u paid 10 grand for it. at that point, the county's envy turns into derisive laughter.

LOL!

I got one just like that I recently traded for, haven?t picked it up yet, and I?ve got to clean the tank on it before using it. People get crazy with their pricing, but she is purty....

I'm on it :) Someday I'd really like to have one of these smaller diesels as a parade tractor. When I have grandkids.

Better jump right on it Colin, I am a grandfather and I can tell you from experience that grandfather-hood follows fatherhood by just a few months.
