Its minus 30, and minus 55 wind chill. How do I get the door of my shop to open. LOL and you thought I was dumb enough to try and
start my tractor.

ince your door has no feelings, I say that wind chill is NOT a factor.

Heat the inside of the shop. In floor, radiant heat recommended.
Keep everything, including your tools and vehicles at about 50 F.
Being radiant heat, they are heated through and through.
The tractor will start without issue. ;)

Indeed it does! Too bad I don't have enough room to keep my snow movers in there. :(

Not quite as cold here but this morning I got my wife to open the shop door and turn the heat on for me when she went out to feed the goats.

"How do I get the door of my shop to open." Wait til it's warmer! and as JMOR says It has no feelings. It can't feel your neglecting it.
If it had feelings you might hurt them trying to open it.
We were going to need to use the 8n and 860 this coming weekend my son asked me if I thought they would start. We will find out Saturday when it's above 20. Not going to even try to until then. We were only -12 with 25mph winds.
By the way the 860 is 6volt and the N is 12 volt they probably will both start but not happily. Just a little plug or dig for the on going 12v versus 6v conversations.
