Thought I would share pics of a good looking 1941 Ford Pickup with a factory 2N based engine. Really nice old truck.

I have recently learned that this 1941 is the last year of a civilian truck due to the war. Also the 4 cylinder flathead is not only a 2N tractor engine but also it shares some parts with the V8 Flathead engine. I live in AZ. I took the truck out for a drive and ended up at a local car show. Several of the old Farmers thought this was such a neat piece of history. Thought I would share. Thanks Jeff.

Beauty of an old truck! It is very much like the one my grandpa had about 65 years ago when I went with him to town to deliver the milk to the dairy. Do you know the story on the air deflector?

I saw one at Palmer Fossum's place a couple decades back... unrestored but still quite nice

Thanks!

Yes was told deflector works as a scoop to force air through radiator instead of the air flowing over radiator.
Jeff.

I bought a '76 Cosworth Vega last summer to relive my high school days ('71 Vega was my first car, and I eventually did a Buick V6 swap).

A '40-'41 Ford truck or panel van with the 2N engine would be the next vehicle on my list to own and enjoy for a few years. I think they're getting pretty spendy, though!

Beautiful example and thanks for sharing the pics!

Beautiful truck. One point of clarification, 1941 was the last full year of production. Civilian production continued in to 1942 for 1 month. There are some 1942's out there, my buddy Dean's grandfather had a 1942 Chevy Pick Up and Dean has it restored and it is a 100 point National winner. I love these pre-war trucks.
