Just my 2 cents worth... and I know nobody ASKED... but PATINA to me is the look of paint that has not been cared for. Dad has been gone since '92 but he always kept the 2N wiped off and parked inside. The paint got THIN, and I eventually repainted it around 2000 or so.

Even Horses got rubbed down and fed before the farmer got HIS supper. And he still had to go Catch them the next morning for another day's work. :)

I was raised the same way. Animals get cared for and fed, tools get cleaned and put away. Then you get to eat and relax for the night.
