I saw this on Craigslist. I'm not interested in buying it, but thought
it was quite a unique design. Anyone recognize it? Brand/model?

Does your Arps have the same type of loop connections where
the uprights for the top link meet the lower lift arm bar Roger?
Very well could be Arps. The top of the blade looks to be
extremely heavily braced. Doesn't look like it has been bent.

It's a Dearborn model 19-5. Good HD blade not the cheap crap you get today. it would have had a rod attach to the lever on the pin so
you could pull the pin up and push the blade against something to change angle all from the seat. In all the ones I've seen and had
the rod was always missing.

That 19-5 back blade also had an optional wheel that could be attached turning it into a grader. Very nice blade, wish I hadn't sold mine.

Yep, Dan is correct. It is the Dearborn 19-5 Utility Back Blade - I have two of them but busted one a few years ago plowing snow and hit a hidden concrete slab. It was made by the ARPS CORPORATION and should have DEARBORN tag on the lower backside of blade. There was the optional tailwheel and also optional side plates. The original had a handle that lifted the lock pin so the tractor operator could adjust the blade without getting out of the seat. It took some technique to learn how as you had to crank it all the way over and use the ground to help pivot blade around. It was faster to just get down off the tractor and do it manually. Also, the blade could only be swiveled around 180? in the straight back position. There were no extra position holes to allow the blade to be angled when facing backwards. It is also recommend to use stabilizer bars with any back blade -they help out a lot.

That is the Arps blade that came with my Dad's first Ford tractor in 1948. Pushed a lot of snow , even pushed some tile ditches shut, back years ago. Memories!!!!!

No. Mine does not have the loops.
What i was looking at was the plates with
holes for angling, three holes, one top and
bottom with the moveable plate sandwiched
between.
Sure is not like a Dearborn with the
adjusting handle i had. It was easy to
adjust from the seat. You did have to
adjust/move by hand for backing operation,
but was locked by a separate pin. You
could angle it for going backwards. Roger
