Was out back blading driveway today and went to stop the tractor and kept moving with clutch pedal all the way in. Just the other day I put 3 hours of work on it and no issue. Can the clutch stick even when the tractor has been in use? Clutch pedal feels exactly the same and I even adjusted it better and still nothing. I fully disengaged the clutch linkage with a jack and still would not go into gear just would grind. I did know when I first got this tractor the throwout bearing did not sound the best when I would press on the clutch pedal so maybe the clutch did go out. Let me now if anyone ran into this issue. If I do end up splitting tractor what else is recommended fixing when you have the tractor apart?

I don't think it's stuck. They stick while sitting due to rust. Do you have the I&T FO-19 service manual? It tells you how to split the tractor etc. good luck, take your time and be careful. Don't be afraid to ask for help it it's available.

Thanks for the replys everyone. I do t think the pressure plate springs broke because clutch feels the same. I still feel spring pressure. Is there any way possible the clutch could of stuck? I wouldn’t think it would especially since I was driving it when it happened. I am excited for the fix though its going to be a nice upgrade to this old girl. As for parts any recommendations. I see there is several places but don’t mind spending little extra for good parts

QuickFarms,It sounds like you are going to have to split it to repair it.The pressure plate fingers could be worn badly from a bad throw out bearing,or the clutch disk facing or spring has came apart and stacked up.You need to replace the pilot bearing, clutch disk, pressure plate, throw out bearing and front transmission seal also have the flywheel refaced at a machine shop.Inspect the starter ring gear on the flywheel for worn/missing teeth, replace it if it has any damage.Take my advice as you don't want to have to split it again for one of the items failing.

If you split it be safe! Block the front and roll the back. Use the HoboNC rolling support for the rear.

For rolling the back of the tractor I use a trailer tongue jack with it's own wheel, bolted to the flange of the transmission. I believe it was Marv Baumann who did that years ago. It works.

Blocking the front MUST include being sure that the engine can't "roll" sideways. I use some wood wedges under the front axle but above the axle support. One on each side. Never have had a problem. I was thinking about getting a patten and make a million...laughs. LOL

I would guess if the clutch suddenly quit disengaging while you were using it your clutch disc failed or if the TOB was noisy it is seized up now and maybe wore the fingers off the pressure plate.
Yes, it will require a split to repair which really isn't a hard job.
As for extras, any time I replace a clutch I also replace the seal on the transmission input shaft.
