Can someone snap and post a picture of the mounted generator for a frontmount style 8n? I am piecing together an 8n and need the visual of the mounting and tension set-up of a stock 8n with the 6v generator.

Hey Snook-
The OEM early 8N generators with the front mount distributor used a little tensioning arm, p/n 8N-10145, bolted on the bottom pivot slot and to a governor bolt. This is the belt tensioning device. If you need one, I made some exact-as-original ones, tougher as I used tool steel, and $15 gets you one shipping included. My email is open. Wiring for it, a 3-Wire/3-Brush B Circuit type, with 11.5 AMP output, can be found in the F-04 manual and the original operator's manuals. Like this:
