Newbie rim and tire change questions

I purchased some land and the guy threw in his ford 8n so very new to the tractor thing. Long story short a couple months later the valve stem on the calcium filled tire broke and sprayed everywhere  So I have to get the valve stem fixed but I need to get it off to take it somewhere as I am not inclined to fix on the rim.
I did get the 8 bolts off outer rim but how do I actually get it off the center disk? its has the brackets for the bolts on inside and is posing difficult to pop off. YouTube videos just show it popping off straight with no back and forth or lifting but it is impossible to do so with those brackets on inside. Do I jack it up real high so that I can pull it from the bottom then lift it above the center disc after ?

I did try to loosen the center disc nuts and just take the whole tire rim and disk but man those were stuck and have never been removed. I was using a 20inch 3/4 breaker bar but wouldn't budge. I could hit it with some PB but it looks like they are almost painted on and never been removed.

Any thoughts on the rim removal or am I doing something wrong?

I can, possibly this weekend. I think the error is that the bolts push through to the outside and the nuts are on the outside of the rim so when I try to take off the brackets are in the way. I noticed on you tube video the gentlemen was taking the nuts off from inside of the rim.

It sounds like the "brackets" mentioned are the "loops" on the rim. If the loops are inside the wheel center, the rim can be pulled off of the center after the two are unbolted. If the loops are outside of the wheel center, the wheel center will have to be removed. If the wheel center bolts/nuts are stuck, a person will have to use a long piece of pipe over the end of the wrench as a cheater bar.

Pull the center and rim off the drum. Use P.B. Blaster and a B.F. cheater bar on the nuts. You have to show them who's the boss. BUT, be careful. If the tire still has some calcium chloride in there it can still be really heavy. Just jack it up enough for the bottom to clear, so you can work the wheel off and roll it toward the front and then lean it against the tractor.

this is what I was thinking.. yes the loops are in the inside of the rim and will not allow me to pull it off. I believe I will have to crank on the center disc and take the whole disc and rim off.

I will also see if I can find a tractor tire place to come out

Local tire place here charges an $85 trip fee plus the work.
As said, they don't bother to take the rim off the tractor, just the tire.
You could also load the tractor on a trailer and take it to them.

I use an air impact wrench to take the lug nuts off. Quick and easy.

As an aside, they aren't really mounted "in reverse". They are
made to mount on either side of the center disk, in several
configurations to adjust the width of the tractor to fit differing needs.

I would remove the center lug nuts and remove the center disc with the rim/tire. A 20" breaker bar isn't much, add a 3' pipe to that you're dealing with decades of rust! Spray with a penetrating lube first. As pointed out if there is any liquid in the tire it will be heavy. I usually just jack it enough to clear the floor and you can walk it off and not let it rock past center as once it gets momentum with fluid you will have trouble keeping it up. To reinstall I use bars under it to get it on the lugs.

Thank you for the picture! That answers a few questions. :)

When I replaced mine the centers were very tight on the rims. Instead of beating on them I removed them as an assembly and dropped them on the ground. The jolt knocked the centers loose. Just my $.02.
