Ford tool mystery

Found these in my FIL's barn when cleaning out, the offset wrench has ford -M-40-17017 on the under side and is 1" on the open end and 5/8" on the closed end hex, the other is marked FOMOCO 80-17035-8 and is 1-1/2" with 3/4 square drive on the other end for a ratchet or breaker bar as well as holes for a round rod for leverage.

Yep, Bob & Shaun nailed them. They are NOT any tools used on any FORD tractor. Your FIL must have had a Model A or early V8 auto.
