Hello everyone, I did some searching on this topic and although I did find some posts, I don't know that it really helped me. Most of the posts I found were about lift arms that are functioning but not working correctly. So, I apologize that this has been covered before.
I have an old 8N tractor it is in fair shape and only gets used a few times a year. It has always had a problem with the lift arms slowly falling from a lifted position. The last time the tractor was used, the lift arms quit working all together.
I followed a tutorial about removing the side cover/inspection plate. I opened up the inspection plate and started the tractor. I have no idea though about what I should or should not be seeing. I did move the lift arm lever and noticed that the internal linkage seems to have some play (but, it's an old tractor and I am assuming that there will be play). Before I pull the whole pump out and rebuild it, I figured that I would post here and see what else I should be doing first. I took a video of the tractor running please check it out and tell me what you think.https://youtu.be/I3xiu4jhUAM
