Engine tear down

My oil pump went out and I decided instead of just fixing the oil pump I'm going to just go through the whole engine. I finished tearing it down tonight and taking the block to get boiled tomorrow.

I tried posting pictures but I messed it up somehow. Too tired to figure it out right now.

Skipper_488,If you are going to get it boiled out.Knock out the welch(freeze) plugs so the sludge in between the cylinders can be cleaned out also.Also remove the oil galley plugs,but don't loose them or forget to put them back in.

Were you planning to align bore the mains in the block? I am curious whether you can get away with not align boring when replacing the oil pump on no. 1 main cap.

I'll be watching your thread, and am especially interested in how much it will cost, if you don't mind saying. Good luck on your rebuild.
