hello all,
I got a little side tracked as I'm waiting on part, so took my broken rocker off. I was curious to how that spring fit together and was considering removing those three bolts:
1. on the first picture, I have a what appears as a wear dent, just above my screwdriver point, pretty significant if indeed a wear grove. It does not appear that a new part has this grove.
Q1. what would have or is causing it. The tractor came with the lift rods but I've never used them.
2. The FO-4 manual, para 152 , description is what I have, spring is not too tight and not too lose.
Q2. on the same picture, I cannot rotate the spring entirely 360 degrees, should I be able to do that?
Q3. is the yoke a male end? I cannot turn it with my own strength, but it sounds like I should be able to turn it as that is how it gets adjusted, so can I just insert a bar and apply some leverage to it to get it to turn?
Q4. If I remove that yoke, will the spring just slide off?
3. On the second picture, where I point the screwdriver, is a hole, I think, in that triangle support item is what the parts book calls it.
Q5. I have three hex bolts it seems, so can I just remove those without hurting or disrupting anything else so I can inspect it?
Q6. The yoke screws into or onto a seat if I', looking at the book correctly. does the plunger screw into that same piece?? will that seat come off if I remove that triangle piece?
thank you.
