Just wanted to share what I did .I put a snow blower on the front of the 9n an used the pto in back to run it .it goes up an down by using the hydraulic from the 3 point hitch .if videos are ok here I will try to put it on .thanks for reading,, markfrid

Welcome to the forum!
Videos and pictures are great for me.
You might have to put it on YouTube and link it though.
Have you used that blower much?

Did you use a reverser box on the pto? Does the blower run the right direction? You made no mention of, that is why I'm asking. Pics would be great.

.ok I tried posting a video an pictures. Not sure how to .I did put a video on utube.please go there an watch. Them let me know your thoughts.

I put the video on utube.i seem not to be able to put video on here .don't know why an not sure how to

Have you tried it in snow yet? I think the 9N will be too fast for a blower. Good job getting it working though.

Using a single stage snow blower is going to be helpful in regards to the ground speed as it doesn't need to go as slow as a two stage. It will be interesting to hear back from you once you've had a chance to try it in snow.

I like it.
I see numerous flaws and weak points.
But I admire the creativity and the
confidence that you could make it work.
It is this kind of inventiveness, this type
of backyard engineering, the trial and
error, the improvisation on an idea that
made these little Fords able to do so many
useful things.
In my opinion this is the true "Henry Ford
Spirit" of these tractors.
Making them Look perfect is not.
Kudos to you!

What he said. Well done!

Well Mark I thought that was pretty inventive. Like everyone else I am curious to see how it does in the snow. Very good and thanks for showing.

Thank you .i come up with a lot of ideas.i
love to share. I love helping ours if this
can help others, great

I totally disagree with you. I have had an Erskine rear mount snow blower behind my 8n since about 1972 living in Mn. and then SD. I have blown more snow than I can ever imagine. I posted pix on this site last winter and will try to post them tomorrow if I get time.

Nice work! I run a snowblower on my 9N, it does just fine as long as I stay on top of it and don't let 2 feet pile up before going out to snowblow. Mine is a pull type, MK Martin 68".

Nicely done DIY version of the commercial units sold be a lot of companies (an Erskine front mounted PTO blower shown below). Erskine specs their 60" blower at 20-35 HP so you should be in the ballpark there. What did you use for the blower itself? I much prefer plowing/blowing in front of the tractor rather than driving through the accumulation dragging a 3pt mounted implement and I think you have a winner there.

Great idea and design. At 17 seconds into the video one can see how the frame is lifted by the lift arms. More pictures of that set up would be great as my friend wants to build one.
Thanks for a great idea,
Tom/Idaho
