early 39 9N tire options

We are working on 1939 9N serial # 404 and understand that it originally came out with 8.0 x 32 inch tires. Miller Tire sells speed ways grip king in 8.3 x 32. Is this the best/only option available or what else have others been using.
They sell Firestone single rib 4 x 19 but the Firestone 9.5 is a 23 deg bar.
Any help would be appreciated.
Thanks

I have #849 and when I restored it used 28'' rims and tires for a couple of different reasons. I couldn't find a good set of 32's and the closed tread 32'' tires were not available. I had a good set of 28's and used the closed tread rears from Dennis Carpenter which are the same ones that miller sells. The optional dual tire setup for the early 9n used 28's so I just tell people I left the outside ones at home when at a show.

The Miller tires will be the best match you can get. No one makes the 32" tires with the closed tread. Rarely you see old ones still in usable shape. Here's a couple of '39s with similar tires.

The WHEEL sizes were 8 x 32 rear and 3 x 19 front, and the TIRE sizes were 9 x 32 45 degree closed bar center and 4 x 19 single rib.

Firestone makes the Champion Guide Grip 9.5 x 32 repops with 23 deg treads but are working on coming out with the 32" 45 deg closed bar centers soon. Ask Ed Miller about them as he has a waiting list for them. If you don't want to wait, the Firestone Guide Grips are available in 32 and 28 sizes. The Carpenter repops have the FORD logo but are 28". They look fine but to me, the 9N looks better with the 32" rears IMHO
