My Ford 8n will not lift the bush hog when cold. The hydraulic oil is good as new. Can anyone give me some ideas of where to start?

I did not see any leaks on the inside. The hydraulic oil was over filled.Once I ran the tractor with the cover off the lift went up. Now it took about a minute before it slowly lifted. Any ideas?

I switched from molasses to UTF two years ago and my hydraulics respond instantly instead of 15 minutes later. I just plowed with it today and all was well at 10*.
(quoted from post at 13:02:10 01/04/18) Hi Bruce,
My 8N has 90wt and once the temperatures are below freezing, the lift will operate slowly until the oil warms up. It seems that it can take as much as 30 minutes to get things operating well. The lift on my 961 with universal tractor fluid operates better in colder temperatures.
Just as a side note, last week it was so cold here that even the hydraulics on the neighbor's Bobcat wouldn't work.

(quoted from post at 10:12:06 01/14/18) Got pictures of that? Does not sound like a normal 8n setup. any leakage in the system would or could cause lift problems. It would depend on how much leakage.

Its a ford 800... The leakage is on the tachometer guage which is connected to the hydro pump at the engine block.
