Bring a block of wood and an 8' 2X6.
Use the block as a fulcrum and raise and lower the frame and watch for movement in the bearings.
A lot of those discs the wooden bearings are slap worn out. And because the axle shafts are 7/8" square and not the modern 1 1/8" square the bearings are pretty much nla.
If the bearing have no more than about 1/8" up and down movement then there is still some life left in the disc and the price is right.
