My RTU by the road to show flags. An usual thing happened: I was driving it around a little first, maybe half an hour. When we shut down, the radiator overflow spewed antifreeze. Gauges said it was not hot, radiator cap not hot--we couldn't figure out why. Loose belt, maybe? Have to check it over when it goes back into the barn tomorrow.

Have you replaced the thermostat recently? The new ones do not have a vent hole which allows for the pressure to equalize and/or coolant to flow past the thermostat while it is closed (prevents an air bubble from forming behind thermostat).

If ]you bring it from full throttle down to idle real fast and shut it off that can cause that problem. If not and the problem continues take the pump apart and check the condition of the baffle.
