Had to replace a rubber fuel hose and now probably have air in the system. Tried bleeding and turning that little gear pump by hand. Was wondering if I could pull start this tractor--it has the torque amp. thanks..

You can tow it as long as you have it in high range.

It sounds like your tractor has the Bosch pump. If it does, There is a bleeder on the front of the pump that takes a 3/4" wrench. You will need to open that to completely bleed the pump.

We pulled M5 all the time when had fuel problems. it had Roosa If Bosch take off transfer pump on side. Open third filter as pressurized. Hook cordless drill and spin pmp ccw until fuel out of filter. Close off. Crack at out put of head and spin until out of head close fitting. Whem=n running again crack each injector line to finish bleeding.

lenray, do you by chance have an operators manual for your M5Diesel? We had an M5 on the farm, but it is long gone. I found the operators manual in some stuff that was left when Dad passed away. If you don't have one, and would like it, I would be happy to mail it to you. Seems you are in the Clare area? I am in Traverse City.
