There's an MM collectors magazine isn't there? Prairie Gold Magazine or something?
I just wondered if they ever covered the crossover tractors? The newest Oliver Heritage covers it again, so if you
don't know the story, you might want to pick one up. Beginning in 1970, White Motors offered every model of MM,
painted green as an Oliver and vice versa. There was a similar article back in 2010 too. That one even talked about
the Oliver 1850 being offered as an MM G940. I saw a piece of literature on those one time. They had to be almost
nonexistent. That older article mentioned the Fiat G350 and 450 as well.
The feature tractor in the new Oliver Heritage was the 2055. It was a one year tractor in 71 that was a G1050
painted green. Only 26 were painted as Olivers. Only five of those were flat nose, the rest were bubble nose. They
talked about an experimental G750 that was to replace M670, but it was abandoned and the Oliver 1655 became the
G750 instead.
The hard feelings that crossover debacle caused were intense.
