What years were the Moline Universal tractor built, this is
thw ones with the drive wheels in front under the engine>
The back end was just a transport dolly to be taken off
when using the plow of other implements and hooked direct
to the implement. I do know the early ones were supposed to
have a 2 cylinder engine and later ones a 4 cylinder
engines. My Grandpa had one And I am guessing he did not
have it long as Mom said he traded it off after it about
dump him into the creek I am guessing he probably was
trying to pull a horse drawn disk instead what was made for
it to be using. Mom told me he traded it off on a Mogul,
don't know model that he traded on a new 1935 John Deere
B.. Don't know if he traded it on the 37 John Deere G or
the 41 John Deere B that would have been last tractor he
ever bought as he died one month after I was born in Sept
of 1943. He would have been about 80 years old. I had the
orignal owners manual for that Moline until I moved about 4
years ago and it and some other keepsakes disdsapered.
Anybody know what year they went from the 2 cylinder to th
e 4 cylinder engine? Anybody have any good pictures of one
of thse tractors, or any of the implements?

I don't know what years they were made. But if it is pictures you want, I think you can just search Moline Universal and you will find some.
(Google searches work best. All the others want to do is sell you something.)

p.s.: They were meant to use whatever horse drawn equipment you had, such as the disk you mentioned. That is why they were front wheel drive.

Not sure but I believe they were built around 1914 through 1920 or so. If Im wrong.... someone will tell you lol.
