Can anyone tell me if I can find out the actual date my 1964 m-602 was built. I know by the serial number it is a '64 but am very interested in finding out if it was built close to my birthdate.

(quoted from post at 20:47:32 01/30/23) Can anyone tell me if I can find out the actual date my 1964 m-602 was built. I know by the serial number it is a '64 but am very interested in finding out if it was built close to my birthdate.
thank you so much for the info!

I kind of figured my M-602 Serial 26602764 as being a late 1964 model just by where the numbers fit in the whole total of M-602 Gas models sold. Not sue exactly how many were built at the moment but in only
two years the total number built had to about 3000 units? I was hoping someone would know how many were built each year. a two year run should make M-602 kind of a rare tractor? Cleddy

M-602 Gas (includes LP) 1963-1275 built,1964-1682 built for a total of 2957. Diesel 1963-742 built, 1964-1030 built for a total of 1772.

What is 95 gas standards? I have heard that number before? At 1682 Gas and LP propane I figure 148 tractors a month in 1964 so mine would be about the middle of November?? It seems like a low production numbers but then you see M-602 all over the place and a lot are still operational? Cleddy

Do you have a idea what they charge and is it pretty accurate? I assume with the correct Numbers it would be but sometimes these places don't know anymore aabout it then we already know? just wondering if they could Nail down a Mobilift fork truck history?? Cleddy

I checked to be sure, why would the Floyd county in Charles City Iowa, the Home of Hart-Parr have MM documents?
Cool just the same. EDIT: At the very least, some big tractors were built in Charles City. G-1355 for example.
I wonder if there is a list of the plants and the tractors produced in each. That may answer another question about part numbers.
I'm gonna babble Cleddy on your last pic. The block lettering makes you want to see "Moline" on your Mobilift.
Like a Namco or a Cleear stand-on fork lift. About 2000 pounder? Neat lift.
Wouldn't that be a hoot? I've never seen an MM fork lift list.
Work was lent a MM, about 5000 pounder (capacity) for trials but it it didn't last the day.
It was on our dock when I got to work so I turned the LP on, hopped on and hit the key. He popped right off.
Pleasantly surprised! OK, I thought COOL!! Sounded like a U. That TC/MM deep, throaty beat.
Just different. I'm certain the mechanics took two glances and said nope.
Nice people but not the cream of the crop.

This Mobilift isn't mine but I have two about like it. I found a newspaper notice that Minneapolis-Moline bought them out in 1959-60 so don't have any idea if many were badged as Minneapolis moline but did
see one in Kansas one time. These started out as Lamson Mobilift, in Portland Oregon and were mostly Mechanical drive and lift so most likely had a short future especially after White got involved. What
exactly does Babble mean? Hope it was favorable? Cleddy
