Re: all Moline tractors with overcenter brass/broonge throw

I fixed mine by finding cross tubing cut to fit it is one piece back sits on bolt left
side cover bolt holds tubing back right side needs hole drilled taped out 5/16 bolt
extends inside front don't need anything, now it will last till bronze slips over lip
my thing is it will last 40 years. This should have done right from the factory by
supporting bottom of throw out bearing when you driving tractor the weight of the
throw out bearing is not resting on the turning shaft all day and still slides back
and forth. I am using it and it works.

Optional way to repair

Lack of grease or towing and snapping clutch in and out. Early one rarely gave trouble. More on diesel U and later.

You can try it. If you can't get, you haven't lost anything. You can always split it. If you get it part way, you can ask the neighbor boy to get in there and get the parts out. Once you get the cross shaft out and take off the fork you can spin the collar around an get the bolts out. After you get the fork loose and drive the shaft part way be sure to remove the key or it won't come out of the housing.
