Changing water pump on D585

I am in the process of changing the water pump on a D585. Looking at the new one it almost looks like the injection pump needs removed to get to one of the bolts? If anyone has any information on changing one of these I would greatly appreciate it. Thanks,

As I recall, it can be done with a ''crooked wrench''.

I have never done it, but recall my late Uncle having/using a home-made wench for the job.
