Anybody ever use high tach on head gaskets ?

i have been using permatex high-tack spray on all my gaskets for probably near 50 years. holds them in place and easily removable. long as that is not that aviation stuff that you cant remove once its dry it turns into cement.
 
I'll have to look for that . Yes this is the aviation at least looks and smells like that in a Deere can . Was talking to a guy at a show he said that's what he put on Moline solid copper gaskets .
 
I was told to use Copper Coat on copper head gaskets. Spray three to Five coats per side, if I recall.

If you use High Tack, I would only use it around the perimeter of the gasket and around the water and pushrod passages. I would not coat the rings around the cylinders themselves.
 
Copper Coat is the best for Head Gaskets. But don't use the can and brush. It is hard to get an even coat of copper. Use the spray and shake it well. I usually spray and let it dry twice. Then lei it overnight. Then spray and let it get tacky dry, and install.
