Frost plug popped out

Hi. Had my U running the other day, wasnt hot,
temperature wasnt even above 100 on the gauge. All of a
sudden freeze plug pops out of back side of back head.

Engine has less then 15 hours on it, water pump got new
seals, Im a bit at a loss. Anyone have any guesses as to
what happened? Thanks

Indent plug and use some sealant. Has to be clean where it seats.

guessing the freeze plug wasn't properly installed, just glad its on the backside, not the middle ones

That is a good point. What sealant do you guys recommend ?

Everone has preference but I use Permatex Form a Gasket

I use loctite 515 or form in place gasket sealer. You should be good with just about anything anerobic, but do not use silicone or rtv, its too "slippery"

3m super weather strip adhesive works well. Local machine shop uses it on every one he installs.
