403 head bolt torque

Hi. I rebuilt a 403 this winter, torqued the head bolts right on numbers from the book, and it leaks a tad of water between heads and jugs. Took valve covers off, checked torque, it was same, and still leaks. What do you guys set yours at? Thanks

Not uncommon. Did you have the jugs and heads planed? Don't take much gap for them to seep
