UB water pump

I put new seals in my water pump. Tractor was parked 10 years ago because of this. Now I've got a steady drip from the weep hole when the engine is running. Did I do something wrong? Does the graphite seal take time to seat? Any help is greatly appreciated.

Not a MM guy but the bearing and shaft good with no grooves worn in? Bearing snug into pump housing and not chucking around? No unusual wear on housing from impeller?

If ceramic mating surface is badly pitted or grooved there is new inserts available.

Where at? I called welters today, they just said to clean. Up the mating surface.

Gas or Diesel? I am not familiar with diesel.

What I used to do (Back when my cousin was alive) was let him put the piece that goes opposite the ceramic seal on his valve re-facer and he would grind the surface flat and true. We had a mandrel made for the Jetstar water pumps, I cannot remember what we used to hold the U water pump piece.
