There is a shut off under my fuel tank and I forgot to open it. Thus ran out of fuel--guessing I USED UP THE FUEL IN THE FILTERS..Bled the two filters. Nothing coming out of the filter closet to the front of the engine. Fuel tank is full and battery is up.Cracked a couple of the fuel lines, but working alone no fuel came out on cranking..QUESTION-----Can this tractor be towed to start as it has the TORQUE Converter...Any other ideas????

Any other ideas on how to start this MM M5. I RAN IT WITH THE FUEL SHUT OFF AND IT MUST HAVE DRAINED THE FILTERS....With no hand pump how do I get the air out of the system???? Need help....

Open the bleeder or crack the line open after the last filter you can't get fuel out of, now take fuel cap off the tank and get a handful of rags and take a blow gun from a compressor and put it at the tank opening wrapped with rags and gently pressurize the tank. If lines are clean and open you should get fuel to come out of the open line. This may take a few minutes as to fill the filters

M5 used two types of injection setups. First generation used the Bosch and later used Roosa Master. Bosch has external transfer pump. Guessing you have Roosa setup with glass bowls. Either way both are gravity flow. Crack first filter until has flow then second. If none at first filter line plugged. May be plugged right at tap on tank. Work your way back until have fuel at pump. No sense towing unless fuel is to pump.

My pump is the BOSCH pump. All three filters are full of fuel. The two closest to the tractor seat run over with the plug out. The filter closest to the pump just runs full and runs over slowly. The hose running to the Bosch pump has a little flow and while cranking has a small flow also. Not a big forceful flow.Battery is up and no offer to fire....

Use cordless drill on transfer pump to force air out of system and fill pump. Saves alot of cranking.

Thanks for the info. I didn't realize that was a transfer pump. Have the book and also read about it after you mentioned it.Turned it by hand and it fired right up . Do you take the gear off when you use a cordless drill???? Again thanks for getting her going....
