magneto for MM?

Going through junk and found this magneto. It is a fairbanks Morse four cylinder. Has numbers K4B on the side. The gold paint is what made me wonder if it was
for a Minneapolis Moline tractor.

Any idea what it's for?

Yes on the MM. Fits z and u series.

Will fit on MM Z R U G G4 combine. Will not work on then all depending whether set up for mounting vertical or horizontal. Impulses differ on impulse for vertical application.

Could be for an MM. To work on a Z or R, the impulse fingers must be spring loaded or the impulse will never work correctly due to the vertical mounting position. If they are not spring loaded, it could fit a U series or possibly a few G models. Early GT used a base mount mag, not a flange mount like this one.
