What Are You Working On?

Looks like it is getting pretty quite on the webpage. I'm certain people must be working on something in their spare time. Gas is too expensive to drive anywhere.

Put a few pictures up here and show us what you are wrenching on.

I'm still working on the Vista but I did pick up a 1945 Converto Dump trailer to pull behind the NTX. Should have a tailgate to install this weekend. Notice how well the patina matches the NTX?

That is a neat set up. Im finishing up on a JD #5 sickle mower to use on my 445. Then will be working on installing my Meade cab
for my M670 Super.

That NTX is something to drool over. That trailer fits right in.
Gorgeous MM's!
Stuck in the past when MM was a new company.
A '33 or '34 CCW power unit. Too old for this thread? From whence you came.

No pics but Im working on my granddaddys 53 UB. Hope to have it ready for Pinckneyville cause
Molines are the feature there in 22. All I got left is wiring, gauges, tires, paint and the odds and ends
that never stop. Six days a week work schedule gonna make it hard to get it done. Itll be a 6 generation
tractor if my grandsons ever show an interest in it.

Does that engine run in reverse rotation? I had one just like that that I got rid of in December. Don't see many that run that way. What were they used for?

I had one in Colorado when I sold you the other NtX. Had
no idea you wanted one . Did not know it went with a
ntx. Sold it many years ago when I moved back to
Indiana.

1950 GTB few and far between here in NY that were sold new here, not quite finished, weather broke and been busy trying to get stuff planted

At a standstill until find few parts. 1966 Jet Star 3 Industrial Diesel. All ready for grey chassis paint. Total rebuild from burnt
carcass.

Yessir Doug. Reverse rotation, CCW, counter clockwise or anti clockwise. Depending on how we think about it.
Rotating parts are all different.
Also have a later 30's standard rotation Power Unit here that shows Twin (MM) City on the rad tank instead of the Twin (TC) City.
My Twin City tractor (from whence you came) friends think I'm cracked for fussing with plain engines.
I think they're neat!
"got rid of"... Would you tell more?
Ya, they're kind of odd.
MS&M turned MM was a can-do company that would build engines or what-have-you to suit the customer's needs like pulling a belt for any industrial need, pulling a silent chain to power cranes, dredges etc. If the customer wished for CCW rotation and ordered it? They got it. :)
GB, glad to see your Burnt Jet Star 3 is getting closer!

Hi Bill!

It was not built for the NTX. I just wanted a WWII era trailer and those are a little different from what is normally seen.

Got this 18-36 Hart Parr recently. Was stored inside until a couple of years ago when the shed it was stored in came down from heavy snow. Engine is loose, valves are free, oiler has been rebuilt, now working on a mag. Previous owner is 89 years old, getting harder for him to get around. He has had it since the late 60's and never heard it run. I'm trying to get it running while he's still here to hear it.

Progress on my 1938 KTA is steady. Pistons now loose. Will be honing cylinders. Head is at the shop for new seats and milling. New manifold is on order. Original is toast. Clutch is freed up and working great.
To do list is a little long yet but no rush. Hope to be hearing it run by fall.
Anybody know where to get a head gasket? Olson can make it but seems pricey at $150.
