GVI Diesel Repair

Hi, I currently have a GVI Diesel that I am working on getting running for pulling. Currently, it is running a little weird. At idle it runs okay-ish with a noticeable miss to it that gets worse with RPM. It does, however, almost entirely clear up when you give it some load (starting out in 5th gear in particular.) When we got a hold of it, the fuel filters were just these weird yarn things that kinda were falling apart so I'm wondering if they could have gotten run through the fuel system. I replaced them with napa 3113 but they weren't an exact fit. I currently have 2 questions about this tractor

1. What is the most likely cause for the miss at idle

2. What exactly is the replacement for the yarn filters it had in it.

Do you have the bosch psb pump or the roosa one?
 
If has Roosa should have two filters 10P1916 with glass bowls. Bosch three filter setup used the two 10A3366 and a screen.
Believe some also had cannister with wick type. Glass bowl type best.
