Minneapolis Moline UB

Nice to see Walt may have some sock filters still. Not a bad filter.
Fits really good in the Purolater housing.
Oil the hold-down nut on top and be sure it's smooth where it goes in the sock.
Got one of the last NAPA had. #7511 there.
For new KE5095 filters, Henry Leasing in Bakersfield has them made for their MM irrigation power units. They'll sell to us regular folks too. Bought two.

I bought an adapter from Charlie Biler and converted mine over to a spin-on filter. As you can see, the no. of that filter is Wix 51791

To me an eyesore. Seen so many nicely restored tractors and big ugly white filter. All mine will have the old original cannister.

Then paint it Prairie Gold.
In fact, the instructions that came with the adapter suggest doing that. If you did, it would look just like the original can until you got up close.
I personally am not that concerned about what the correct police think. But to each his own.

Butt Ugly. Using a big honking semi filter that doesn't come close to specs. Nothing to do with being correct.

I painted mine black to suit the Purolater base from my gray era for a fresh filter for Twin City 21-32 #2.
Easy to change back too.
Oh ya, too big and ugly Gary but when some think we don't have any filters available...
You got instructions? Cool.
The Biler adapters are a good way to get around modifying other brand filters.
I was checking out options.
I have an IH LF584 filter in the UTS right now. Just some fussing with the upper bore, a hose, a clamp and I have a useful filter.
Mike, have we turned you off yet? Hope not.

You have not turned me off. Dad bought this tractor 25ish years ago. We always had Olivers. My son and I really like the old slow RPM long stroke
high torque Moline engine. Just cannot stop it. Going to take it to a plow day in a few weeks and hook it to a 3 bottom and see what happens. I
ordered an original filter from the Walters place. I get the looks thing with restoration but this tractor is totally in it's work cloths and if I
was not able to get an original maybe I would have to go that way. Thanks for the filter numbers!

"My son and I really like the old slow RPM long stroke high torque Moline engine. Just cannot stop it."
That statement made my eyes a little wet. With that said, smooth Diesel Olivers are sweet too.
Yesss! A three bottom should do great behind your UB! I pulled a three bottom behind an older LP powered U in the 80's for my BIL. :)
Keep us posted how it goes at plow day if you would.
A pic of your UB would be really nice too if you have the time. I'd like to see it along with the Welters filter.

I have two UB's, one of which was my Dad's. I grew up with that tractor and spent many hours in that seat. We pulled 3-16's with it. In fact, I also have the plow we had. I put some fresh paint on it this winter. Plans are to reunite it with the tractor this summer and take it through our local parade.
