Is there a way to tell the
year of a 705 by engine
ser.tag?the one by the
rear tire is missing.

No data to match up numbers that I know of. Somewhere I read there is a stamped number in casting on right side of rearend where hitch bolts mount.

I have a paper copy of a serial list compiled by Lloyd McCray that contains engine serial numbers. I don't think there's a reference online.
