I bought a 445 MM with a gas engine, has the MM front end loader on it as well. The tractor has been sitting for several years, i got it below scrap
price so if its too far gone i will just part it out. The tranny will go in and out of gear, the water pump and fan moves freely. Not 100 percent
sure on the engine, i'm thinking it is stuck but will have to see.

Is the red MM front end loader pretty common or rare?

I've never sat on one of these tractors, molines around here are few and far between. If i was to need a engine block or other parts where is a good
place to get used or rebuilt parts?

MM never made their own loader. Most are made by Schwartz and used on Jetstar series. 445 motor basically same as all 4 Star and Jetstars.

Do you have a picture of the loader? There were some loaders that were universal ones that fit many models.

I've got some used parts for those engines. They are not a sleeved engine, so if bores are bad, would need to bore cylinder blocks oversized and use oversized pistons. Oversized pistons are available new. Welters in Missouri would likely have them in stock. Pretty robust engines. Not terribly known for cylinder head or block issues. Just chuck rods if the governor fails and they over rev.

Here is the best one i could get Alan, hope it helps.

Yes, that is an MM (Schwartz) model L800 loader. That is what I have on my M5. 445s are nice tractors to operate. I have one I use for cutting, raking and square baling hay.

I hope this thing isn't too far gone, the tranny shifts ok and the fan will turn, other than that i don't know much more about it, i hope to get it hauled in within the next couple weeks, if its not worth fixing i might just part it out. I can get better photos when i get it home.

Is the front end loader that's on the tractor rare at all, i don't recall seeing one, other than a picture of one on the net.

If it is warm out where you are I would advise cracking loose the drain plug on the transmission at least to drain the water out of it. When I did that on my ZAU after I bought it I got at least 2-3 gallons of nice clear water. Being these don't have a rubber boot to rot out, there may not be much water in it, which is good. The loaders aren't really rare but still aren't that common, especially if you are looking for one. If a person finds one that hasn't been broke or welded somewhere, that would be rare lol. I think people tend to do more with them than they are rated for. I want to move round bales with mine but not anything over a 4 or 5 foot bale. They wont handle large round bales without something giving in my opinion.
They are always worth fixing but, cost can be an issue. I really like my 445. Very handy tractor. If you do part it out if it is too far gone, let me know. Otherwise, I hope you can save it.

Ok i will do that, might be 2-3 weeks before i get it home, got to air up the tires and have it ready for the rollback.
