445 rod bearing help

In a bit of a pickle, a new to me 445 developed a knock last winter,. I moved it from the pole shed into my shop and began to take it apart. I could not find any marking on the rods bearing I took out so for a place to start I called and Welters had the side plate gasket and standard bearings. Yesterday I did a clearance check with blue plastiguage. My oil clearance is around .006. I called Welters and they said there is no .005 rod bearing available.
The AGCO part number is 10B421. I checked all 4 and they all measure the same.
Does any one have any of these? Or ideas on what I should do next? Thanks Dan

Should be able to find you some. Only other option is get crank done to 10 or 20. Odds are your main bearings need changed also. Check your thrust.

Thanks, I found two new old stock ones so Im down to only looking for two more. Hope you can help. I called Clint at Stramms and he said I should mic the rob journals and see how out of rou d they are.
He also suggested that I pull the center main be1ring cap and see what the beating looks like. I have no end play from front to back and the mains seems good visually for what thats worth.

Any ideas on torque specs for main and rob bearing bolts? He you can find two more 10B421 inserts.

Use screwdriver on ring gear through timing hole cover. See how much play. Max is like 10 thou. Thrust is determined by rear main bearing and nothing to do with center bearing.

Rod bearing clearance is .001-.003. Torque is 70-75 ft.-lbs. Main bearing clearance is .0015-.004 for front & center bearings, .0015-.0035 rear. Torque on mains is 60-65. Crank end play is .003-.004. Checking rod journal roundness is sound advice. This data is from I & T Shop Manual.

The spec seems odd for crank end play so I checked my MM ZA Dealers Shop Manual w/206 engine and it is .003-.004 for that engine. BTW, stock bearings were made in .0025, .005, .020 & .040 undersize.

ZA not same crank as 445. 445 Jets U302 all same except for rear main seal. Governor on front. Too much endplay leads to governor issues especially with ball bearing governor on 445's. The diesel crank same except hardened.

Doug Thats Great,,, Ill keep you posted if I need your orphan. The ones I spoke about showed up today. I do have a lead on two more, might not know until Friday or so. Fingers are crossed.. how would be the best way to get in contact with you if I need it. I live in western Wisconsin along the Mississippi River.

Thanks again. Dan

The genuine MM 7 ring binder shop manual for the 445 section 14 Page 25 states the crank end play should be .002 to .006 Don't know why there is so many different specs out there.

PS Unless there was a Serviceletter that changed the specs.
