I think the only tool box offered for the 445 was a tray about 4 deep that went under the hood. It rests on the front and middle cross brace between the hood sides. At least that is the way my 335 tool box is.

I am not familiar with a step on a 445. Mine does not have one, although I am sure some farmers may have added one.
 

My 445 has the toolbox under the hood. The PO had moved it to the left fender but I realized where it had come from and moved it back.

Mine did not have a step either, and was very hard to get on and off of it. I picked up this step at the Le Sueur swap meet. I had it cut in half and modified as shown, then put one half on each side as shown. Makes a world of difference!

There is a strap step used on the 335 thru the 5 Star series. It's a steel part that bolts to the transmission and to the platform.
 
On brushland fire fighting vehicles we used to use lengths of chain bolted, in a loop, to existing steps to make flexable lower steps, maybe something you could use.
