G706 heating probl

I have a G706 diesel went through engine radiator new thermostats there are times when it runs hot 215 and then thermostats open it runs at 180 like it should the water pump has resistance-gear driven used a heat gun guage is accurate..any ideas

On some of the other MM's it helps to drill a small 1/8 inch weep hole at edge of thermostat to allow warm water from engine to circulate up through thermostat to open it.

I don't think 215 is harmful at all but if it makes you uncomfortable, drill the holes like Virgil said. I drill the holes, then fret because it doesn't warm up,
