MM BG steering wheel

I am trying to find a replacement for my MM BG steering wheel. All the aftermarket ones that are advertised to fit say they have a 7/8
tapered and keyed hub.

What is actually on the tractor is a 7/8 splined shaft. (36 splines.) does anyone know if a 36 spline 7/8 wheel 14-15 dia. with spokes not
covered.

Plan B is to cut the original splined hub off the 'hotrod' steering wheel that is on the tractor-its welded onto the wheel-and turn it down until it is about 1/8 wall thickness, then bore a new correct-looking wheel out and press the old hub into it in with some generous tack welds to hold it all together.

Any thoughts?

At this point, it looks like plan B is going to work.

. . . Now if I can fix all the hydraulic leaks.
