Brakes on Jet Star

The brakes on my new Jet Star are marginal on the 20% inclines on my new farm. I associate MM tractors with flat-land farming so perhaps they were not intended for this abuse, or perhaps some repair work is in order. Your thoughts?

My place don't have very many level spots and never had any problems with my Molines.

20 percent? is that 2 ft. in 100 or 20 ft. in 100?

My guess is your shaft seals have leaked and soaked your brake disks. New seals and disks are in order and clean up the 'actuator' that goes
between them best you can. If any springs are broken on the actuator you need them too.

The plate the seal is in has a hole that is supposed to catch any oil seeping through the seal and channel it to the bottom of the housing.
The problem is there is no where for the oil to go once it is there. I drilled a 1/4 hole through the bottom of the case so if it happened
again I would at least see the puddle under the tractor.
