spark plugs

Judging by the somewhat vague responses, I'll open my mouth/typing fingers.
The Autolites mentioned are likely the 3076 plugs. Try some and see.
The next hotter plug WAS the 3077 unless you can find some.
Next might be the WD89 Champion for oil burners/finicky/crabby engines.
NAPA lists these as #589 but you have to buy a box of 8.
64 bucks! I have other engines using the same so no issue here.
Keep us informed. :)

Duey, I can buy 1 or 8, or 10 here in our NAPA. Must be just your dealer and the Autolites I use are 14mm thread, but only cost $1.84 each. Sounds like you need to find another dealer, no offense. list price is only $3.20
another plug i use has a list price of $2.60 and I pay $2.19, thats nowhere near $8.00 per plug

those wd89 plugs are all of that. the ihc gas start diesels use those. the reg. D16 plugs dont work in them diesels either.

I do not believe I have ever seen a gas start diesel in a Moline, what tractors are they in?? International Harvester may have used some.

None taken John. :) Very glad you're finding them!
Rusty, there's a set of those WD89's in my IH UD-16 gas start six.
Hanging in there for 30 years.
The KS redneck is looking for info. Let's help him with details.
ksredneck, I'll be using what little I know when my U gets here.
:)

exactly as i said... ihc used them in gas start diesels . a standard gas plug like D16 makes starting very hard. i tryed this experiment.
nobody said moline used them.

Any Champion made today should not be used on any MM unless you want starting problems, especially with mags.
