Steering is sloppy. How hard is it to remove power steering unit and tighten it up? Are parts available?

It turns good to the left but chatters going right.

This is just parade tractor so wont get a lot of hrs in the future.

Thanks in advance

You can try an adjustment first. Loosen the 4 cap screws that hold the steering valve (the part the steering lines connect to) on the steering unit or housing just a little, not too loose. Slightly move the valve in different directions as you check the steering. It is helpful to have someone turn the wheel as you are doing this. When you find the right spot, tighten the 4 cap screws and should be good to go. If this doesnt help, you may need to replace the actuating pin and bushing and readjust the steering unit (part that has the shaft in). I believe both parts are still available.

Just to add, the splines on the shaft and yoke might be worn if it is sloppy steering. The yoke is available, last one I bought was about $74. The shaft, you might have to have made or try and find a good used one. The M602s should be the same.
